Paris
After much badgering from my sister I finally got a blog to post pictures and news to while I am off in the world. I can't believe I have already been in France for almost a month.
There is so much about Paris that I love, I don't think I have enough time to catch up on all the places worth seeing and things worth doing here. I think some of my favorite were (in rough chronological order):
- First night walk along the seine; discovery of Pont des Arts; the view of Paris from the top of the Grande Roux
- Vespers and evening mass at Notre Dame
- Musée Delacroix
- The American street musician playing the Carter Family and Johnny Cash
- Museum de Cluny (The Middle Ages): "La Dame et le Licorne" Tapestries
- "La Soeur du Grec" at the Théâtre du Temple (Free Tickets! from Kiosque des Jeunes)
- Dinner at Le Pré Verre with Madame
- Dinner at Restaurant Jadis (Où est le pigeon?)
- The Latin Corner "Sexy Bar for a Crazy Night"
- Heather's birthday lunch at Le Bouquiniste and indoor dessert picnic afterwards
- Outdoor concert and film festival in Parc des Buttes-Chaumont
- Rummaging at the Marché aux Puces
- Picnic on the banks of the Seine
- Mont Martre and Sacré Coeur
- My "roommate-date" dinner with Kiley at Brasserie de la Poste followed by the view of the Eiffel Tower from across the Seine at Palais de Chaillot (m: Trocadéro)
I'm so glad that you're off to a great start. Break a leg!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you're doing this. Just a tip, though - could you enable anonymous comments? That way Mom and Dad will be able to comment without having to sign up for gmail.
