Monet's Garden

This is definitely worth a visit.  The town of Giverny is just a short way outside of Paris by car or train, making it a perfect weekend day trip.  The biggest attraction is of course Monet's house and garden.  The house itself, although quite beautiful (the dining room was all yellow and the kitchen quaint with blue and white tiles and copper pots) it was quite crowded and there were only a few of Monet's paintings still there.
The real treasure was the garden - so if possible choose a nice day to go.  Everything was green, except for the flower blossoms, and so artfully arranged.  I was surprised at the naturalness of it - there were no neat hedges trimmed into geometric designs and hardly any white dust.  I felt more like I was in an English garden than a French one.  I felt like a star struck Linaea when I saw the Japanese bridge and the waterlilies.
